As the leaves change colour to russet, red and golden, the landscape creates a different tapestry from the windows of your train. The cities of Europe retain their warmth and light, and cafés beckon you in for coffee and cake, whilst along the coast and rivers there is room to roam on quieter beaches and pathways.
I would like to take the opportunity to thank you very much. The trip was for our first anniversary and will never be forgotten.
We had a terrific time. Both hotels were superb and the Orient Express was absolutely breathtaking and more than we could imagine. To top it off on the final leg home having tea on the British Pullman was an added bonus.
We saw some wonderful scenery (especially that famous curve) and met some really nice people.
